Christmas in Florida

We had a great time this Christmas break!
We got to go to Naples, Florida, which is were my parents live now and spend time with my family.
We all left on Sunday the 18th and stayed until January 2nd.
We played a lot of golf (Alex got pretty good), tennis, and card games.
We caught up with some old friends and enjoyed socializing.
We went wakeboarding multiple times, but also on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
Here's some pictures from the trip:
Alex and Kenny ready to golf.

Gator in the water near our ball.
Christina on the boat.
Christmas Eve wakeboarding
Gingerbread houses.

Opening presents. Dad with his stocking.

 Kenny in his beard beanie.

 More wakeboarding.

The new wake ski's.

Sadly on New Year's Eve I was using my dads new wake skis (they're like water ski's but wider and lighter so you can jump the wake and do tricks) and I was trying to a surface 180 when my left leg went one way and my right leg went the other way. I heard a loud pop and just screamed in pain. I went to the doctor and they think I tore my ACL. I have to wait until Thursday to find out for sure. It's really horrible timing for me to get hurt and I can't believe I was being so dumb! But we're hoping for the best.

Other than that we had an awesome time. I love getting to spend time with my parents and my siblings. We had a great time with Nash as well.
We can't wait to go back.
We're also so glad we only have to wait until February to see my mom and dad again!

One week.
Until what you ask?
Until this sexy lady comes home!

I can't wait.
Seriously.
She's one of my bestest friends and it's been too long with out her.

This is the last Thursday I won't be able to call/text/skype my sister.
Can't wait till she's home
And I can't wait until Thanksgiving to see and hug her in person!

Summer Reading

One of my favorite parts of summer is that I can read!
All day, every day.
My mom recommended a book for me to read
And I want to recommend it to the people who read this blog.
There were three books in this series.
Here are the three titles:
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
The Girl who Played with Fire.
The Girl who Kicked the Hornets Nest.

Okay now let me warn you,
There are some risque parts.
But the overall stories are incredible.
They're murder mysteries.
He was a Swedish author, and these were translated to English.
They're on the New York Times Bestsellers list.
Read them.
They are awesome.

My little brother graduated high school today.
Can you believe it?
I can't.
I'm so excited for him especially for him to come to BYU.
Graduation day was fun.
But Kenny, of course, had to go out with a bang.
Here's a video of him walking across the stage.

He flashed his class.
Only my brother.
Congrats kenny!

Skydiving

Kenny and I went skydiving today!
It was one of the best experiences ever.
You feel like you're floating through the sky.
And it's a different view of the world most will never see.
Kenny of course being fearless wasn't nervous at all.
I was a little nervous.
I was the first to go.
By the time I was dangling my feet out of the plane,
My nervousness disappeared.
I did scream the entire way down.
But that's my reaction to things.
It was the best feeling EVER.
I highly recommend it to everyone.

Yeah crazy.
I'm super excited.

See ya later UTAH.

i took this quiz from findyourspot.com.
it asks you questions and see's where you should live.
the states from which my results came from...
Alabama, Georgia,
Tennessee, Mississippi, & Florida.
Confirmed my suspicions that i am meant to live in the south.
Can't wait to be there at the end of May.

Tennessee will always be my "Home Sweet Home"
No matter where I'm living.

Walkin in a Winter Wonderland...

We love Christmas time. We decorated our tree (which looked a little better when we cut it down), we've been drinking apple cidar, looking at Christmas lights, and it's been snowing like crazy. We go to Tennessee on the 19th and can't wait to spend the holidays with my family.

Simple Lemon Herb Chicken

This is such an easy recipe. I always have a hard time finding what to make for dinner so here's something so easy and SO good!

Ingredients

  • 2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 1 lemon
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pinch dried oregano
  • 2 sprigs fresh parsley, for garnish

Directions

  1. Cut lemon in half, and squeeze juice from 1/2 lemon on chicken. Season with salt to taste. Let sit while you heat oil in a small skillet over medium low heat.
  2. When oil is hot, put chicken in skillet. As you saute chicken, add juice from other 1/2 lemon, pepper to taste, and oregano. Saute for 5 to 10 minutes each side, or until juices run clear. Serve with parsley for garnish.

Wisdom Teeth

Ewww!!! I got my wisdom teeth out this morning at 7:20 am. Alex called me to wake me up and make sure I was doing okay before I went in. It was my first time ever getting put under and I was nervous! I have a pretty high tolerence of pain but getting your wisdom teeth out is no fun! But at least Alex keeps his phone by him so when I'm not sleeping I get to talk to someone. My mom also hangs out with me. She's just been sitting watching tennis while I sleep. I'm wearing a funny thing on my head with ice in it to keep the swelling down. Let me just say wisdom teeth are no fun to get out but at least its over with!
I look so lovely. No making fun :D
