This post is long overdue.
But since we aren't celebrating until Friday, because we've been out of town and Alex's has been working...I think it's okay that it's a little late!

Two years ago on August 14th, I married my best friend.
This year on that same day we had a family reunion and celebrated my grandparents 50th birthday.
It was a great way to spend it because I loved seeing the love my grandparents still have for eachother.
My grandpa still grabs my grandma's hand, and still hugs her all the time.

And today is my parents anniversary.
They have been together for 26 years.
My dad thinks my mom is the most amazing woman in the whole world.
I always wanted to find someone who loved me as much as my dad loves my mom.

I'm so lucky that I found someone who will want to hold my hand when I'm old.
And hug me all the time.
I'm also glad I found someone I can constantly have fun with all the time.
I'm glad I found someone my family absolutely adores and someone whose family I absolutely adore.
I'm glad I found someone who loves me like my dad loves my mom.
So here's to 2 years to my sweetheart!
Can't wait for our adventures ahead!

Wedding

It was the best day of my life. It was more than I could have asked for. My bouquet was full of huge sunflowers, my favorite flower in the whole world. We had a photobooth for the guest book, a candy and lemonade bar, a hot pair of cowboy boots, AMAZING centerpieces, and a beautiful cake that my dad made. It was the most perfect day because I had my perfect guy with me. I could not have asked for more.

I'll put the professional ones on when we get them.

Finally Together Again

After more than 2 months of long distance Alex and I finally got to see each other again. I flew out to Utah and stayed for 11 days and wow the time flew by. We had so much fun while we were together and can not wait for that to be the rest of our lives. I arrived in Las Vegas at 9 in the morning so we spent all Friday so excited just to be with each other. We went to a dinner that night for his cousins wedding and I met more of Alex's extended family (and he has a lot!). On Saturday, Alex went on a 22 mile bike ride with his sisters and brother in law getting ready for the triatholon they are doing this coming weekend. Then I got up and ran with Alex and wow was the altitude noticable on the lungs! I sucked. Afterwards we went and saw the petroglyphs from the indians at the gap about 10 miles from his house. The rest of the day we just hung out until his cousins wedding which was beautiful. After the wedding we went to dinner with all of Alex's family. Sunday we went to church and to his aunts house after where I met more family and got a card trick played on me which I could not understand at all. It took me forever to get it. Alex and I fished that night and I caught 3 baby fishy's. On Monday, we planned to go to Provo to do a few things, and so Alex's dad said Alex could drive the truck to Provo and he would take it to Logan with the cows in it while we did all the errands we had to do. I got to see what Alex has been doing all summer. I road the in a semi with him up to Delta where they loaded the cows and then up to Provo with all the cows in it! Never thought I'd do something like that! In Provo we saw our new apartment, ordered our wedding bands, and even bought a new kitchen table for our apartment (30$ gotta love it!) Around 9 at night we met Alex's dad at Cheryl and Jareds and then made our way back to Parowan. It was nearly impossible to find a resturant open that late and when we finally did we had the WORST server ever! But it was still a fun time. Tuesday threw Saturday we were at Lake Powell. On Sunday, I got to meet Alex's high school friend Trever, his wife, and even his baby girl. We just enjoyed each others company the rest of that day. Monday, I became a real cow girl. I helped Alex and his dad herd cattle on a real horse! It was funny and fun all at the same time. It even started raining on us while we were herding the cattle. "It was raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock"-Mark Evans. Hahaha. That night we had a barbeque in the mountains with Alex's parents and sister Cami. Alex also found a game that he could beat me in, Mario Kart. Tuesday Alex had to drive me to the airport. We were both really sad that we had to go back to the long distance thing. But on the bright side there are only 3 weeks until we get to see each other again. We can not wait to be together back in Nashville.

I now have plenty of good recipes to use to make Alex some delicious food =). I was so glad that so many close friends could come. I could not have asked for a better bridal shower. So many plans!

The planning has been intense and crazy!!! It's so hard without Alex and I feel like I am constantly calling him to get his opinion as well! The past 3 days my mom and I have been deeply into the planning! Visiting florists, calling photographers, booking a DJ. Its insane! Slowly but surely this wedding is coming together and I can not wait until that day is here. Alex is still driving and making money for us to be able to survive next fall. We miss each other immensely but can not wait to see each other soon! As of today, we have officially 3 months until the big day and we are so excited!

Just a little preview of what to expect :D sunflowerssss!

Crazyness!!!

So this whole blogging thing is brand new to me but I am going to try and get used to it! Alex and I have been engaged for 3 weeks and 2 days. Haha. I am totally keeping track. Sadly we are apart pretty much the entire summer. We got to see each other this past weekend for our engagement pictures (which I will post when I get them) but we don't get to see each other again until July. Its super hard on both of us!! Alex is driving trucks for his dad and trying to make some money. I am deep into the wedding planning and working at Pier 1 again. We are so in love and can not wait until August 14th! I'll try to stay on top of this as well.
Some pictures from the engagement and Alex's stay in Nashville!

After he asked!

So excited!

Everyone holding the signs. Seriously best day ever. Xtina took pictures of us in Nashville
